After graduating from Texas A&M (Whoop!) with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Event Management, I was eager to start my life. Within a very short time frame, I married my loving husband, moved to South Texas, but was missing one thing. What was I going to do for work? 

I always thought I would own my own Corporate Event Planning firm, but I figured it would be 10-20 years down the road. After three long weeks and searching high and low for a job that would actually pique my interest, I finally gave in. There was a little voice (Actually more like “The Big Guy Upstairs”) telling me that I am called to serve others through my ability to plan. 

I decided to listen to that voice, and jumped in head first. I calculated the beginning costs of the business, created a marketing plan, and finished the initial design of my website, In June of 2015, Touch of Whimsy was officially born. The name just came to me one day. I didn’t contemplate the name for long — I just knew. It describes me perfectly. I’m calm, cool, and collected on the outside, (with the occasional minor freakout on the inside) and a “touch of whimsy."

Texas has always been home, but I haven’t always lived here. My family moved.. A lot! We did finally make it back and ended up in New Braunfels. I absolutely fell in love with the little town and the river, and of course Wurstfest. This is when I decided to move out, start a job (that later would lead to my career), and little did I know, fall in love.

It was one of those, “he’s my best friend, can this work?” kind of loves, spoiler alert…. It worked. We got married and eventually moved to San Antonio. One of our favorite things to do is travel and camp. 

I’ve spent the last 10 years in the tourism industry & have learned a lot & met some incredible people. Through the years I developed a love for special events. I have since had the pleasure of designing and coordinating a little bit of everything including, weddings, team building, corporate events and more.

Now, I get to bring my decade of experience to a beautiful team of women, design and coordinate some incredible events and thank the Lord for everything he has provided.

I grew up in Dripping Springs, TX and drum roll….it is the official Wedding Capital of Texas (fun fact for ya)! I met my now husband our freshman year of college and we ended up picking a venue to get married at in New Braunfels and not long after decided to plant roots here and call this sweet little (big) town our home. We have a miniature dachshund that we adore and welcomed a baby girl in July 2019, and we cannot imagine our lives without her.  

I have worked in the hospitality and events industry since high school, but really fell in love with weddings and events after I graduated from college and began my first job in catering and banquets at a country club. From there my passion and interest continued to grow and after experiencing a variety of events from intimate weddings, golf tournaments, large galas, non-profit fundraisers, and extravagant weddings, I have seen a little bit of everything and am excited to bring my 10+ years of experience to the Touch of Whimsy team. 

After planning my own wedding, I truly got a sense for how much fun the wedding process is, but also the stress and many choices that must be made along the way. Although, I loved planning my wedding and knew exactly how I wanted it to flow, I knew I needed to have someone else there to execute my vision. Insert hiring a wedding coordinator. Having a wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions and made our wedding go exactly how I dreamed it would and for this reason, I am excited to bring our clients dreams and visions together for their weddings and events with as much fun as possible along the way.
