3 Best In-Person Marketing Practices

Education

Welcome, back! I hope you enjoyed the last episode on The Keys to Conquering Instagram Marketing with Runge Ralph. This week we will be back in the marketing game talking about In-Person Marketing. In my opinion, this is the MOST IMPORTANT style of marketing. It is also one of the most cost-effective ways to market yourself. Let’s dive right into the video!

In-Person Marketing Video

Extroverts are about to get really pumped. This is your jam. While us introverts are over here with our stomachs in knots. Yikes, this is one of my least favorite methods of marketing, but it is so incredibly important. You are the face of your company and people WANT to see your face. They want to interact with you and get to know you. So, let’s talk about my favorite ways to market in-person.

In-Person Marketing: Coffee Dates with vendors.

This is a great way to get to know someone on a one-on-one basis. Get to know them personally, learn about their unique journey, and how you can help their business grow. Do these often and with new vendors. Think of it as making a new friend. It should not be interview style, but rather a casual conversation

In-Person Marketing: Styled Shoots

This is such a fun way to collaborate with new vendors and to test out their skills before referring them to your best clients. You can see them in action and often time in their best element because they have more creative freedom with styled shoots.

In-Person Marketing: Socially accepting Networking Groups

Networking groups come in many different sizes and shapes. Some groups as you to stand up every meeting and state your name, business, and needs. Some allow for open communication and dialog. Others teach on a new topic every month and some get together for happy hour. There are many different networking groups and they each have their own strengths and weaknesses. I highly recommend Rising Tide and their Tuesdays Together meetings.

I’ve been to three local chapters, each one is welcoming and exciting to be a part of. They are full of creatives from all different industries and experiences. At each meeting, you discuss the topic of the month and enjoy discussions with fellow creatives. It is such an inspiring and loving group to be a part of. Sadly, since becoming a mama, it has been harder and harder to get to these meetings, but it is something that I highly encourage my team to be a part of. This group goes beyond the “business card shuffle” you often find at a networking group and to a much deeper, more relaxed level. If you aren’t a part of a group, I highly recommend connecting with your local chapter today.
