Happy Birthday, Touch of Whimsy!
Eek! What a blessing it has been over the last 5 years. Five years ago, little did I know that I would be a New Braunfels wedding planner AND event floral design company. A rollercoaster of emotions is flooding my mind as I think about all of the ups and downs we’ve had along the way. Not every event was perfect, but I’ve cherished so many opportunities to grow and learn over the last five years. I started this business straight out of college after graduating with degrees in Event Management and Entrepreneurship (Gig’em Aggies!)
It felt like a crazy dive off the deep end, but I am so thankful that God and my family were there every step of the way to keep me afloat. I may be the only owner on paper, but this journey could not have been possible without the love and support of my husband, son, parents, and so many family and friends. (Thank you pregnancy hormones for bringing on the tears right now lol). Family, if you are reading this…THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. You have offered so much advice, love, and support over the years. You’ve been there to help me set-up events or taken care of Jameson while I worked. You’ve given me a big hug and even a few smacks in the right direction when I needed it.
Brides, if you’ve come back to see this post, THANK YOU! Thank you for trusting me with your wedding, a day that holds so much significance and importance in your life. Thank you for that trust. You are the reason we are still in business. It has been such an honor to be by your side, hold your dress as you walk to the aisle, and get you that margarita to calm the nerves. Our brides are the sweetest, and I am so blessed for you to be a part of the Touch of Whimsy Family!
Here is to another amazing 5 years! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us now. Be sure to check out our new Behind the Business blog as we dive into different business topics twice a month to help educate all small business owners, and especially those wonderful mompreneurs.
P.S. Check out some of my favorite weddings from the last five years.
