What To Do If You Can’t Have Wedding Rehearsal Before The Big Day
Hi Everyone, I wanted to bring up a popular question we get, while also explaining wedding rehearsals in general. So let’s talk about wedding rehearsal options. Ok, you’ve booked the venue and are reading through the contract and it turns out you can’t rehearse the day or night before. There are varies reasons why you may not be able to rehearse the day before, the most popular being that the venue is booked. What do you do then?
Wedding Rehearsal Options
#1 Wedding day rehearsal
There is absolutely nothing to worry about! We’ve got this! Our team does “day of” rehearsals all the time. If you have early access to the venue then we can knock out rehearsal in no time at all. We try to have everyone in the processional there(We ask for this in written form far in advance). This can include grandparents but if they have a harder time getting around then we can also direct them in the moment. Rehearsal usually only takes 45 min to an hour depending on what all will be done at the ceremony ( readings, candle lighting, or other symbolic traditions). In a lot of cases, the bride may not attend the rehearsal do to her getting ready. This isn’t a problem at all because we all know what she is supposed to do.
#2 Day before at the Venue
This is the more traditional option but as we discussed earlier, it’s not always available. Very similar to the day of rehearsal, we ask that everyone who is in the processional arrive at the venue so we can get down to business. If dinner is scheduled at 6:30 pm then we would rehearse at 5 pm. We try to add a little wiggle room for the groomsmen’s jokes that will without a doubt be made.
