Wedding Invitations

I think there are two kinds of people out there. There are those of us who absolutely could not wait to pick out their wedding invitations ( that was me ). I loved scrolling through pages upon pages of options and picking fonts and layouts. “This was it” I thought ” the one thing that is going to set the tone for the whole wedding”.  I know I’m a sap, but I’m ok with that. Then there are the other kinds, they find something that feels right and just go with it! oh, how I envy thee. Regardless of the type you are, invitations are one of those countless things you have to check off your list at the end of the day. So we are here to help.

How Many?

If you don’t have one already you need a guest list. This is the easiest in excel or sheets something you can also keep track of RSVPs with. You will only need to purchase an invite per household unless there is an extenuating circumstance. For example, this means, while yes you invited 100 people but they are all couples so you would only need 50 invites.

Pick em

Minted is probably one of the easiest ways to go. they have a ton of selection and the whole process is fairly easy to figure out.

Vistaprint, while you may only think of them for business needs they actually have a great selection and amazing discounts!

You can also go through Etsy, a lot of small shops have some fun options too.

No matter which route you go you will have to pick size, shape, color, envelopes, and your other things to stuff them with, which usually consist of a details card, RSVP, and the RSVP envelope. Some brides like to add extra pictures or little maps. Up to you. this is where you get to be as creative as you want!

So you have picked then, now what?

Now you need to address them! Fun!!! (Not really) Here is a great blog on how to do so properly by CalliRosa.

Now, Address the RSVP envelope. Buy stamps for both the outer envelope and RSVP envelope. Stamp them, and then stuff them with everything!
