Introducing Sophie Schiller, Event Consultant

Personal

And then there was one.

Introducing Sophie Schiller, Event Consultant, momma, and all-around beautiful person inside and out! No doubt a great asset to the team.

Hey there!

I started with Touch of Whimsy in the Fall of 2019 as an Event Consultant and I am so excited to be working with our Partial Planning and Final Touches brides. I have worked in the hospitality and events industry since high school but really fell in love with weddings and events after I graduated from college and began my first job in catering and banquets at a country club. From there my passion and interest continued to grow and after experiencing a variety of events from intimate weddings, golf tournaments, large galas, non-profit fundraisers, and extravagant weddings, I have seen a little bit of everything and am excited to bring my 10+ years of experience to the Touch of Whimsy team.

On a More Personal Note

I met my now-husband, Evan our freshman year of college through a mutual friend and we have been inseparable since!  Not to be cliché, but he truly is my best friend, the nicest person and the best dad.  We found The Chandelier of Gruene wedding venue in New Braunfels in October 2016 shortly after framing was just beginning and fell in love with the venue (and renderings) of the property and got married there the month after it was finished in May 2017.  It was the perfect venue for us and had everything we wanted for our wedding day!

After planning my own wedding, I truly got a sense of how much fun the wedding process is, but also the stress and many choices that must be made along the way. Although I loved planning my wedding and knew exactly how I wanted it to flow, I knew I needed to have someone else there to execute my vision. Insert hiring a wedding coordinator. Having a wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions and made our wedding go exactly how I dreamed it would.

A little over 2 years later we welcomed a baby girl, Sutton Grace into the world.  She has changed our world in all the best ways, and we cannot imagine our lives without her.  She is the sweetest and happiest little girl and we can’t wait to see more of her personality come through every month.  This chapter in our lives has been the most challenging yet rewarding time.  It is so special for us to become parents and start our family together.

And Lastly

We have the sweetest pup – Rookie, a miniature dachshund.  He loves to play fetch with his tennis balls, cuddle, belly rubs and sleep.

In our free time we love to spend time with our families – mine in Dripping Springs/Austin and my husband’s in College Station, explore our town and hang out with our friends.  During the week you can find us walking our neighborhood, cooking dinner and catching up on tv shows or documentaries!

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better 🙂
