Hailey and Quinten were a favorite of ours. They asked us to travel over to Bastrop to coordinate their special day. We love to travel and coordinate in new places. The Homestead at Old Potato Road was no exception. This family affair for Hailey and Quinten gave us the opportunity to work with so many new and talented vendors. Bastrop felt like home to our couple. That is why they chose this destination. There are so many reasons why you would choose a particular destination. Maybe it is where you said “yes!”. Or maybe it was a childhood favorite? What if you got married in the exact location your grandmother got married? Or perhaps you make new memories in a place you’ve never been before? The opportunities are endless to create a romantic wedding everyone can enjoy.

When you are looking for the ideal destination venue, look for these three things:

1. Will it accommodate your guests? For example, adults only resorts would not be fitting for adorable little flower girls and ring bearers.
2. Can you afford it??? (May this should be number 1 lol). Remember you still have to be able to live after you get married. $10,000 a night in Fiji may sound like a dream, but at some point, you’ll have to pay off that credit card bill.
3. Ease of access. How close is the resort or venue to an airport? Are their reasonably priced hotels on-site or close by for guests? Is it safe to travel to?
